Was born in Wingham, though my family moved there from Toronto before I was born, so the townies never did fully trust &#039;em.  
Alice Munro (a fellow Wingham native) labeled the locals &#039;cross-eyed inbreds&#039; (IIRC). Can attest to the accuracy (both figurative and literal) of her semi-autobiographical recollections of what it was like growing up in Huron County hell (even accounting for the 50 year gap).

On a side note, I&#039;m &lt;i&gt;really&lt;/i&gt; surprised that no London FFs participated this year. Melonville is usually ground zero for &#039;life affirming&#039; events like this.</description>
