Celebrate BirthPangsDay!

UPDATE: Today is the day! Birth Pangs is now 1 year old.

Be sure to check out the Birthday Page and leave your comments (birthday wishes)

And while you’re here read some posts like this one by Berlynn and this one by Prole

As always guest posts are welcome and encouraged!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last year on Groundhog Day, the evil feminazis at Bread and Roses launched Birth Pangs. Now, we’re inviting the feminist blogosphere (and fans of the feminist blogosphere) to join us in celebrating our first BirthPangsDay on February 2. We are soliciting (oooh) Guest Authors.
To include as many people as possible, there are no rules!
Vent about fetus fetishizers, imagine big rigs driven by Cletus Fetus, reflect upon experiencing pregnancy and choosing parenthood – or not, of course! A rant, a satire, a meditation, a story, whatever you contribute is welcome.
Want to have a go at a BP-style post? Go for it. Prefer your own style? That’s fine. We’re all about choice at BP.
Not up to a full post? No worries. We’re planning a Birth Pangs Party Page, where comments, especially nice ones about BP, can be posted.
New to blogging? Not sure what to do? We can post for you if you send us your finished draft.
Join the party! Email birthpangs@gmail.com and we will set you up.
You can also submit a post by clicking on the Submit a Post link at the top of the page.
  2. Berlynn says:
    Will there be cake and ice cream? And OMG! What will I wear?
  3. matttbastard says:
    Imma wear my birthday suit.
    What? It has pinstripes. Will put on my matching fedora.
    :mrgreen:
  4. fern hill says:
    Well, of course we will all wear our birthday suits. And hats too!
    As in the quote: “I want to die peacefully in bed like my father, the bus driver, not screaming in terror like his passengers.” croghan imagines the good folks of B’nR running screaming/laughing out the back door as he enters the front, in his freshly pressed b-day suit. :oops:
Disclaimer: Many posts on this site are tongue-in-cheek. But make no mistake: We don't joke about challenging those who oppose women's control over their reproductive health. Protecting women's rights is serious business. So here you'll find news and views, facts and figures, drawn from Canada and the rest of the world. At all times, Birth Pangs is written with a recognition that choice is choice. We fully respect a woman's choice to have babies just as much as we respect her choice not to.
