It is easy to run cute little ads with perfect white middle class parents and perfect little chubby cheeked babies with syrupy sweet voice overs wondering how evil feminazis could call for the deaths of these angels.Or bus shelter ads falsely implying that women are willy nilly asking for abortions the day before birth.

The reality is something else again. The reality is this is about denying any form of birth control at all. Effectively turning a woman’s uterus into state property.
I had a large family. Six kids to be exact. That many pregnancies is a toll on the body and mine were spread out not one after another.
There is also a huge toll on the finances as it is difficult to have outside employment with that many children and just as hard to raise them on one income.
It is beyond the pale that this man would walk into a hearing regarding an event that is the epitome of male dominance and control to pontificate on further taking control of a rape victims body by refusing to allow any method which would prevent her from having her attackers child.
Some extremist pharmacists have already refused to fill prescriptions for birth control. Some doctors have stopped preforming abortions due to threats from religious terrorists. This is not an issue that will be resolved by making nice, or debating when life begins.
These are not people who singularly want to live life as they see it. They want control over everyones life. They have created a network of supporters they can call on to freep polls and skew results. If you believe in human rights, you cannot afford to take their campaigns lightly.

You are absolutely correct, they would certainly not stop at criminazing abortion. All birth control will be illegal if these barbarians ever get their way.

Next, it will be controlling to ensure that only those of “Pale” contenances give birth. Next, it might include ensuring that only healthly, “normal” babies of “Pale” countenance get carried through to birth. This is only the first salvo in the reproductive wars. I hate what I am thinking, however, I can’t help it. I hate this situation with a passion. No one should have a right to dictate over another’s body.
