Remarkable in Deed

In the comments to this quick post on walking the walk, Dr. Frank Frink said that the Cappuccinos are a remarkable couple and suggested a googling.

We googled and found their organization Child Haven. Go read, but grab a handful of tissues. It may get damp.

Remarkable indeed. And in deed.

Meanwhile, Canada’s Blob Blogging Wingnut comments on Fred’s letter to the editor, calling him illogical and irrational.

While her brand of fetus fetishizing is, of course, the pinnacle of logic and rationality.

Here’s a sample from the comments to that post:

In other words, because the women he knew personally were such callous, heartless creatures, he abandoned compassion himself and sided with the oppressors.

Picture him stumbling upon a bunch of SS officers, drinking beer and telling stories. “They’re such nice guys!” He’d have to become a Nazi himself!

Some days, there aren’t enough rolly eyes in the universe.

 It’s not that I’m prescient, but Bigoted Bellowing Whacko’s knee-jerk response is predictable – and vicious.

Heh. That comment was from the notorious fetus fetishist “Christina” of the “Full-scale 30-day Prayer Assault of ‘07″. I see her flair for hyperbole is as dramatic as ever. “The Oppressors”, LOL.

Hey, I just noticed something that SHE says in her blog post is inaccurate, so I left HER this comment.

SUZANNE, why are you lying about women who are pro-choice? You stated in your blog that “… he attended an Assembly of his denomination, at which women who had had abortions spoke up in favour of it.”

Yet Cappucino’s letter in The Citizen actually reads:

“The debate on the pro-choice motion was conducted utilizing two microphones, with alternating two-minute speeches. Those in favour lined up behind one microphone; those opposed behind the other.

As the lines formed, I was fascinated and somewhat disturbed to see that the line against the motion (against pro-choice) was mostly men, while the other line was mostly women — and I knew some of these women.”

Nowhere does Cappucino say that the women who stood in the pro-choice line had abortions.

    ALL-CAPS post an inaccuracy?

    I’m shocked. Utterly shocked.

… now about that bridge I have for sale over here
