Planned Parenthood is offering gift certificates this Christmas season. The intent is that they be used for health care services such as breast exams or pap tests or for contraceptives.

Of course never ones to spurn a good excuse to clutch their pearls, shriek and faint ever so dramatically, the anti choicers have spun this as giving the gift of abortion.

Planned Parenthood agrees they have put no stipulations on the certificates and they could if one wished be used for that purpose.

“They really are intended for preventative healthcare. We decided not to put restrictions on the gift certificates so it’s for whatever people feel they need the services for most,” she[Chrystal Struben-Hall] said.

Indiana Family Institute President Curt Smith told the television station he is”appaled” by the gift certificates and thinks a better way to help women is to provide financial support for the dozens of pregnancy centers around the state.

“I think the way to help family planning is to give the money where there’s no agenda. So if somebody wants to help a woman at a time of crisis, they can support the life centers throughout Indiana,”

That’s right no agenda there, nope, no way.
